New finds at Market Square

AS THE excitement builds towards Market Square Shopping Centre’s 30th birthday, we’ve noticed an array of new retailers opening there that would excite any shopaholic.
For the fashionistas, the most exciting addition to Market Square is Purple Cow.
This Geelong icon has opened its doors opposite Duffs Jewellers with their much-loved guys and girls’ fashion waiting to be snapped up.
We recommend visiting Koko Belle with an array of gorgeous handbags and funky luggage.
Recently opened in the Moorabool Street entrance of Market Square, you’ll find it next door to the forever popular Good Housekeeping.
Do not fear for those who adore Geelong’s own Venus Flytrap – Hannah has simply moved upstairs to level one and still stocks her vintage fashion, young designer labels and hand-designed jewellery which greatly appeals to those who nurture an artistic flair.
Just along from Venus Flytrap, a new clearance store called Urbanizt has opened its doors. With some fabulous bargains, the young label is mostly targeted towards guys, so it’s a good excuse to drag him in for a wardrobe update. With a selection of ladies’ clothing, you might even find yourself something while you’re there.
Next door to the delicious Tasty Asia appears Hot Wave – a flavoursome Indian cafe that makes lunchtimes very satisfying. Serving both traditional and modern Indian takeaway cuisine in a spice level for a variety of tastes, we are impressed with their vegetarian range.
For those who have yet to visit, Tomi Bar and Restaurant is Geelong’s newest and most exciting restaurant and lounge, open from 6am until late every day of the week.
With delightful tapas and meals, there is also a very pleasing range of beverages in a classy venue.
For lovers of fabulous cocktails internationally acclaimed Geelong local Nick Reed impresses customers every Thursday night as guest expert cocktail designer.
