IF YOU’RE LOOKING for the next venue to host your kid’s birthday party, look no further.
The Rock Adventure Centre hosts two-hour parties including lolly bags, soft drinks and a birthday cake.
All parties are fully equipped and supervised by friendly rock instructors.
Business owner Richard Lodge has 23 years of climbing experience under his belt and is about to see the company celebrate its 14th birthday this September.
He says the response to previous birthday parties has been fantastic and that party guests often took up climbing as their sport afterwards.
“We often hear kids say to their parents, ‘I want to have my party here!’ as they’re leaving.
“I’ve even got guys who work for me now who first came in for a birthday party,” Richard said.
Parents have also given a wonderful response and enjoy seeing their kids doing something different.
With parties running most weekends, Richard recommends booking two weeks in advance to secure dates.
If you’re looking to add a level of excitement, upgrade and add the ‘big wall abseil’ party extra to your function.
Party cost is $25 per head with a minimum of 10 people. A self-catering option is also available at an additional $35, with crockery and cutlery supplied.
The Rock Adventure Centre is open from 4pm to 9.30pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm on Saturdays and 1pm to 5pm on Sundays, at 403 (River End) Pakington Street, Newtown, Geelong. Call on 5221 3101 or visit rockadventures.com.au
