A long, wide vision

Category: Young Entrepreneur
Winner: Jake Munday

Jake Munday is a serial entrepreneur and proud Geelong local who started his business journey at just 23 years of age while still working full-time for a telecommunications company.
Now, aged only 27, he owns and runs more than seven online and bricks-and-mortar businesses.
He is the managing director and majority shareholder of Pearly Whites, the director of The Bronx Pressed Juices, the franchisee and director of Magic Hands Car Wash, the director and owner of Swing Boss, and the director of Social Fuel and Social Fuel USA.
Jake says that, like many entrepreneurs, he doesn’t have any formal qualifications and left school as soon as he could.
He started working in customer service and soon became the manager of one of the busiest telecommunications stores in Australia before going into business sales.
At 23, and while still working full-time, he bought the Dog Lovers Facebook page.
He used social media marketing to increase the number of page fans from 43,000 to more than three million, earning a reported $40,000 a month.
Unsurprisingly, the Dog Lovers experience “really developed” Jake’s entrepreneurial passion, he says.
He now runs a number of successful online and offline businesses alongside Pearly Whites Australia.
Jake says he loves the variety, challenges and rewards that come with an entrepreneurial lifestyle.
