Buckets and bouquets

BUCKETS to the fellow marcher at the Climate Action rally last weekend who glared at me for chanting too loudly. Newsflash: Protest is meant to be passionate and LOUD. Earplugs might enable YOU to be more genuinely participatory next time.
Persona non-grata, North Geelong

BOUQUETS to the amazing service by Ruth and Stacey at Aussie Bellarine. Thanks for showing us how to save dollars on our home loan refinancing and do what others couldn’t. To top it all off a gift of my favourite Aesop products.
Lisa and Zac, Ocean Grove

BOUQUETS to Phil of Leopold Kitchens who rectified a problem caused by a previous kitchen company (since gone out of business). He went out of his way to assist us, was courteous, friendly and completely customer focused. Phil is one tradie we really recommend.
Christine and William, Leopold

BOUQUETS to the owner of Panache Creperie in High Street Belmont. As a visitor to the area, it is wonderful to see great service and friendly words exchanged with so many elderly customers.
Pat Lane, Benalla

BOUQUETS go to one particular staff member at Buckleys Entertainment Centre. Attending a birthday celebration there, Jo was a great help and went out of her way to ensure our day went off with a bang. Well done Jo, keep up the great work.
Happy customer, Belmont

BUCKETS to dads with toddlers who defy walk lights at Ocean Grove post office corner. Walking them between cars that are stopped at a red light surely isn’t the message we should be sending to our children. What happened to pushing the walk button and waiting?
Smelling the roses, Ocean Grove

BUCKETS to those who insist on walking the roads within our parks in the same direction as the traffic. It is a dangerous practice especially if you have a couple of dogs on long leads or have music in your ears. Walk against the traffic to be sure of your safety.
Driver, St Albans Park

BUCKETS to my neighbour who abused me for my kids picking his flowers and catching bugs from your garden. Mate, if a couple of daisies and a few bugs are the biggest issues you have in your life then you need to get out more. They are kids. They don’t hurt anyone and the daisies will grow back I promise you. Times have changed since 1970. Catch up.
Flower Power, Grovedale
