Hot final chills our lifesaver

Torquay has one of Australia’s hottest lifesavers, according to a national women’s magazine.
Cleo named Torquay Life Saving Club’s David Strahan, 32, in its top 18 of lifesaving beefcake after a nationwide search.
Mr Strahan and the other finalists will feature in the September issue of the magazine.
Mr Strahan, who teaches phycisal education at Melbourne’s Xavier College and coaches at the lifesaving club, said he was shocked to reach the finals.
“I’m usually the one abusing younger members for showing off in front of the cameras but I guess I’ll be the one copping it now,” he said.
“The other guys have been giving me a really hard time but I just say they’re jealous.”
Mr Strahan said he participated in his first photo shoot on the weekend, when he learnt “new respect” for models.
“I’ve never been colder. I think modeling is too hard for me.
“I’ll stick to lifesaving.”
