Two people died in a car crash at Mannerim last night.
A passer-by came across their two cars on fire in a paddock just off Portarlington-Queenscliff Road soon after 10.30pm, police said.
“Once the fire was contained, two people, who are yet to be identified, were located deceased.”
Police believed “at this stage” that the deceased were the drivers of each car.
No other occupants have been located at this stage, police said.
“The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined.”
