Crystal clear hearing here

A BLOCKED ear can be a really simple reason for not hearing well according to specialist Ear Nurse Mardi O’Leary.
Mardi O’Leary has opened a clinic called Crystal Clear Ears in Geelong to help with this problem.
“Lots of people have trouble with a regular build up of earwax and need to visit their doctor or clinic nurse to have the ears flushed out with water,” she said.
“Many people find it uncomfortable, or it doesn’t work well for them, or they have been advised by their ear specialist not to have water in the ear.”
Mardi uses a method called Micro-suction, which is also used in Ear hospitals.
“The method used is dry, (no water), and gently removes any earwax,” she said.
“Crystal Clear Ears are well established in Melbourne, and have now expanded their service to Geelong.
“Children and adults come to the clinics, and people with hearing aids have a particular need for regular visits. Sometimes the hearing aid will whistle, simply because the ears are blocked.”
She said a blocked ear can cause itchiness, and really drive you mad.
“You just can’t wait to get the ear unblocked, so you can get on with your life,” Mardi said.
She said she has seen some interesting things in ears, plastic beads, cotton bud tips, tiny insects, and hearing aid parts.
