THE SPINE is a pretty important part of the human body, which is why its gets its own week.
Spinal Health Week runs from 25 to 31 May and its theme this year is “get your happy back”.
Chiropractor and director of East Geelong Chiropractic, Kaaren Colwell, says a happy back makes all the difference in day-to-day life.
“Every day more and more Australians experience disabling low back pain, neck pain and headaches, limiting their ability to work and engage in an active healthy life,” Kaaren says.
One explanation for this is the negative impact an increasingly sedentary lifestyle has on postural fitness.
