Buckets and bouquets

BOUQUETS to John at Corio Village who found my husband’s wallet and delivered it to our home with everything still there. My husband was unaware it was missing until John turned up. It was a huge relief to know someone so honest found it.
Very grateful, Bell Park

BUCKETS to the powers that be. We need a hospital in the north of the city, not more money for the football oval. Most of the people in their 60s can’t afford to go to the footy but they need a hospital.
Nancy McIntosh, Corio

BOUQUETS to V/Line. We attended the Sharon Jones concert on 19 September and received a surprise at Southern Cross for our return home. V/Line had scheduled a ‘concert’ train in between the 11pm and midnight services. It was probably for Justin Timberlake concert goers but it suited us perfectly.
Cheryl Storr, Herne Hill

BUCKETS to drivers turning left onto Melbourne Rd from the Church St overpass. They wait and wait until all lanes are clear before turning, leaving a bank of a dozen or more frustrated motorists behind them. You only need one lane to turn into and merge right further along if you need to.
Selfish drivers, North Geelong

BOUQUETS to Father Kevin Dillon and the generous, warm-hearted people of Geelong for their support of the 2014 Geelong Legacy Appeal. Funds collected allow us to continue caring for widows, children and dependants of those who served in various conflicts. We exceeded our target of $80,000.
Graeme Collins, secretary, Geelong Legacy Club

BUCKETS to the council on the wetlands at Myers Reserve. Instead of fixing the rutted bog of a carpark, council fences it off. The problem will not go away, it will become a swamp again the next time it rains. The barriers only hide the problem and reduce already limited parking.
Fed up getting bogged, Norlane
