Norlane home invasion

Three masked men stole two utes and left a Norlane resident with facial injuries in a home invasion early on Sunday morning.

About 2am the three men forced their way into the home on Melbourne Road, police alleged.

Once inside the men ransacked the house and assaulted one of the two occupants, a 28-year-old man, police said.

The second occupant, a 62-year-old man, was not injured.

The burglars spent 25 minutes inside the home stealing personal items.

Then they stole two utes: a white 2012 Mitsubishi Triton, registration 1LB 4WL, with Barwon Traffic Management signage, and a blue 1999 Holden Rodeo, registration QLZ121.

The man who was assaulted was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening facial injuries, police said.

Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the home invasion, which they believe was targeted.

They urged anyone with information to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
