Out of Hours unlocked for Armstrong Creek library

Armstrong Creek residents can access library services outside of regular opening hours thanks to a region-first initiative at Biyal-a Armstrong Creek Library.

The Out of Hours program will allow people to borrow books, use study spaces, connect to Wi-Fi, access computers and use printing, scanning and copying services when the library would usually be closed.

Geelong Regional Libraries chief executive Vanessa Schernickau said the Out of Hours fostered a more inclusive and accessible library experience for everyone.

“We are thrilled to introduce Out of Hours access, making our library more available to the community,” she said.

“Libraries are evolving to meet the needs of modern life, and this initiative ensures our members can access resources when it works for them.”

Library members can complete an induction to upgrade their membership, granting them exclusive access to Biyal-a Armstrong Creek Library outside regular staffed hours.

Inducted members can then enter the building using their library card and PIN, providing a seamless and secure way to access services when needed.
