Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have appealed for witnesses to an affray in Geelong’s CBD on Thursday night.

Officers were called to Rock O’Cashel Lane, which runs between Little Malop Street and Ryrie Street, after receiving reports of an altercation between teenagers about 7.20pm.

Police said three 15-year-old girls were allegedly kicked and punched by several other female teenagers before one had her mobile phone stolen.

The victims, all from Ocean Grove, managed to get away and alerted emergency services to the incident.

All three were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The alleged offenders fled the scene when police arrived, but officers later arrested a 15-year-old Corio girl and a 14-year-old St Albans girl.

Police also found what they alleged to be the stolen mobile phone in the Corio girl’s possession.

Both girls are assisting police in their enquiries.

The rest of the group of alleged offenders remain outstanding and the investigation continues, with police calling for witnesses to come forward.

Any witnesses or anyone with CCTV footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at crimestoppersvic.com.au.
