Teen charged

Geelong Police have charged a teenage boy after executing a warrant in Armstrong Creek on Monday.

Police executed a warrant at an Atherton Street address and seized a firearm, weapons, drugs, cannabis plants, cigarettes and vapes.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested at the scene.

He has been charged with drug trafficking (x4), drug possession, weapons offences, sale of controlled substance (vapes) and deal property suspected proceeds of crime.

He has been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Youths nabbed

Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged four youths after they were followed by police in two allegedly stolen cars on Monday.

Police were originally called following reports a Mercedes SUV was stolen from the car park of a gym in Bradfield Road in Werribee shortly before 10am.

With assistance from the victim, the car’s location was tracked, and the Air Wing was called in.

The vehicle was spotted from the air, travelling in convoy with an allegedly stolen Nissan Patrol, as it travelled through Corio, Norlane, Little River and Lara.

Officers successfully deployed stop sticks as both vehicles travelled along Sandy Creek Road, near You Yangs Regional Park, before two of the offenders dumped the Nissan and jumped into the Mercedes.

The Mercedes continued through Corio and North Geelong, driving on damaged rims, before coming to a stop in Cabernet Road in Corio.

A 23-year-old Hampton Park man was charged with theft of motor vehicle (x3) and unlicensed driving.

He was bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on 14 March.

A 16-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy from the Geelong area were both charged with multiple counts of theft of motor vehicle, burglary and dangerous driving.

They were remanded in custody to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

A 15-year-old girl from the Melton area was charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft and theft of motor-vehicle. She was bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
