A TattsLotto syndicate set up in Newcomb was one of 10 division one winners from Saturday’s draw, leaving its 10 members on cloud nine.
The syndicate, called Cloud Nine, claimed a division one prize worth $587,281.03, as well as six division two prizes, 12 division three prizes, 45 division four prizes and 20 division five prizes, taking the syndicate’s winnings to $701,265.88.
The group syndicate was set up by Newcomb Lotto, with shares sold at four other outlets in Altona North, Berwick, Fairfield, and Port Melbourne.
Newcomb Lotto owner John Maroulis said he was ecstatic to see another one of his syndicates score a division one prize.
“We’ve been running the Cloud Nine syndicate every week for a number of years now,” he said.
“This is the first time it’s won division one, but it’s not the first time one of our syndicates has won big. About three years ago, another of our weekly syndicates scored division one.
“It’s fantastic to see another big win. It’s really great when you see your customers win division one.”
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said some syndicate members held unregistered entries and might not have discovered their exciting news yet.
“We know some of these division one winning syndicate members have already begun celebrating their good fortune and are kickstarting the new week knowing they have a hefty boost coming into their bank accounts,” he said.
“However, others are starting their working week completely obvious to their win. Previous syndicate winners have told us there’s no better cure for Mondayitis than discovering a TattsLotto win.
“If you purchased a share in a syndicate for the recent TattsLotto draw, today’s the day to check it.”
The winning numbers in Saturday’s draw were 44, 8, 31, 39, 45 and 24, while the supplementary numbers were 21 and 41.
Across Australia there were 10 division one winning entries – four from Victoria, three from South Australia, two from Queensland and one from New South Wales.
