Sections of parkland were closed following a bomb scare in Belmont yesterday.
Police were called to the incident on Grove Road after a member of the public found the suspect device on Sunday, May 5, just after 9am.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said no injuries had occurred during the incident.
“The bomb response unit attended and deemed the area safe,” they said.
“Nearby walking tracks were closed to the public as a precaution.”
