A MAN has been hospitalised after being tasered by police at Winchelsea on Tuesday night.
Police said the man was hospitalised due to concerns about self-harm he caused to himself.
The 28-year-old man sustained superficial wounds he caused to himself after barricading himself in a toilet when police were called to a domestic dispute between two men.
Police said they used the taser after the man had refused to negotiate with them for almost an hour.
They were concerned for the man’s mental health.
