Recovering lost memories

Jedtec IT Support can prevent the heartbreak of losing precious memories stored on computers.
The data recovery experts can even restore happy snaps and other important files thought lost down the digital drain.
Jedtec is essential local support for anyone who utilises the convenience of downloading photos and videos to home computers.
Owners should first take their own preventative measures to guard against any accidental losses, Jedtec’s Daryle advises.
“Many of us now have hundreds if not thousands of photos and home movies of family, holidays and special events because all this new technology makes collecting and sharing files so easy,” he said.
“But don’t rely on your computer to always protect and store them. Back them up to external hard drives or USB memory sticks to share and store.”
Daryle warns that computer “issues” can lead to the loss of some or all stored images and video.
But retrieval solutions might be available, he said.
“Various methods can be used to recover apparently lost files. There are software programs available to recover them but first seek advice before installing or using them on your own computer.
“As with most software, be particularly cautious of free software.
“Professional data recovery is generally successful, although expensive but back-up devices are relatively inexpensive.”
Computer owners with concerns about the security of their files or other issues can phone Jedtec IT Support on 0438 543 092.
