TALENTED Geelong artists Charles Moodie, Richard Jones and Rhondda Millen, bronze sculptor Lucy McEachern and botanical artist Margaret Muffet are among those exhibiting works at Birregurra Art Show next weekend.
The weekend festival’s art show will open in Main Street Hall on October 7 to kick off the festival which has become synonymous with gourmet food and wine, agricultural displays and live music, according to organisers.
For more than a decade visitors have descended on the historic Birregurra township – 30 minutes from the Great Ocean Road – to enjoy the festival’s country hospitality.
The Birregurra Art Show is renowned among buyers for its “quality at an affordable price” and all exhibited works will be for sale.
The art show opens Friday evening from 7.30 pm and runs from 10am to 5pm Saturday and 10am to 3.30pm Sunday.
Other Birregurra Weekend Festival highlights include a food and wine showcasing Otway region providores, farming technology displays, market stalls, children’s activities and dog jumping contests.
