HIGHTON has outscored coastal counterparts and other affluent suburbs as City of Greater Geelong’s “preferred” residential address, according to a new analysis.
The PRDnationwide research found that Highton accounted for seven per cent of residential sales in the municipality for the five years ending December 2012.
The rest of the top 10 in order were Belmont, Corio, Ocean Grove, Grovedale, Lara, Newtown, Leopold, Clifton Springs and Norlane.
The research determined Autumn St, in Newtown and Geelong West, as top for sales over the same period, with 95 transactions. Newtown’s Noble St had the highest median sales price, $612,500.
