THE sun breaks through the palms along Geelong’s waterfront on a crisp Monday winter’s morning — a welcome respite from the chilly climes of the past week.
Clear skies and mild temperatures won’t last long though, if forecasters have their way. The mercury will struggle to clear double figures for much of the week and inclement weather will persist.
Spring remains a month away, officially, but don’t be surprised if blossoms emerge in the next week or so.
