Winner: Sea All Dolphin Swims

Few people are able to snorkel with dolphins and seals for a living.

So it’s little wonder that when Sea All Dolphin Swims came up for sale 18 months ago James Murphy jumped at the opportunity.

James had worked in the business for four years prior.

“From my very first shift I knew this was what I wanted to do,” he says.

New energy and ideas helped create instant results for the business.

“We’ve just recorded the best season we’ve had in the company’s 22-year history,” James says.

Dolphins, seals, reef fish, seabirds, maritime history and adventure – it’s all part of Sea All Dolphin Swims’ unique experience.

“When you’re in that world, face-to-face with dolphins you very quickly realise how intelligent they are,” James says.

“It’s very humbling.”

Sea All Dolphin Swims creates adventures for people of all ages and walks of life, from first-time swimmers to explorers on their last legs ticking off their bucket list.

Customers escape the worries of everyday life in the colourful underwater world of southern Port Phillip Bay.

“You can be left with this amazing sense of stillness when you share an underwater moment with these incredible animals,” James says.

“The memories really stay with you.“

James entered Geelong Business Excellence Awards to help raise the awareness of his business and says completing the entry application was also extremely useful.

“It’s made me look at everything under a microscope – it’s been great to evaluate where we are and where we’re going.
