Mother’s Day treats are at the top of the menu at Sandstone Café, with breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea all covered by master chef Simon Parrott.
Starting with an a la carte breakfast from 8am, Sandstone Café will be a delightful spot for mum to feel treated while spending a couple of enjoyable hours.
For Mother’s Day lunch, the Sandstone team have a special two-course menu plus tea and coffee for $40 per person from 11.30am.
With either entrée and main or main and dessert on offer, mums will be spoiled for choice.
Delicacies like pork belly with zucchini fritters or slow cooked lamb, pepperonata, croquettes and jus will be just some of the menu favourites.
And there’s always Simon’s famous lemon tart to round out the dining experience as part of a tempting dessert menu.
If mum wants to continue enjoying the wonderful Sandstone ambience, there’s always a relaxing afternoon tea.
Mother’s Day afternoon tea will offer a wide selection including some of Simon’s famous high tea favourites.
Sandstone is an ideal venue for a family get-together such as Mother’s’ Day, with its spaced out tables.
“It’s intimate. Our tables aren’t positioned too close together, so people have their own space,” he said.
“People can actually talk to each other and bond. That’s what it’s all about.”
Sandstone Café is at 284 Torquay Road, Grovedale. Bookings are essential for this special occasion.
