The past week: Salmon at Queenscliff, snapper in Corio Bay up to 6kg and along the coast, redfin at Lake Purrumbete and trevally at Queenscliff and in the Barwon River.
Weekend tip – Steve O’Keefe, Geelong Charters and Fishing Trips: Try for snapper at Clifton Springs along the edge of the channel.
This time last year: Snapper up to 2kg at Queenscliff, salmon along the coast and around Point Nepean, squid in the bay and offshore, whiting in the bay
