More options at Sandstone Cafe

SANDSTONE Café will introduce two new week nights into its opening hours.
The café has previously been open Friday and Saturday nights for dinner but next week will add Wednesday and Thursday nights into the mix.
For its fifth birthday, local chef and owner Simon Parrott says the café is “moving in another direction”.
“We’ve been getting quite a few calls and have realised there’s a new demand, so we’re now meeting that demand.
“This area is growing, especially with the development of Armstrong Creek and surrounds.”
The new nights will include a change of menu format, with a new Italian style twist.
The café is also renowned as Geelong’s best value high tea experience, which chef Simon says has been “very successful”.
“It includes a glass of French bubbly along with cakes, pastries and sweet delights.
“The majority of the cakes and slices are all made in house with lots of gluten-free and dietary options.”
With breakfast choices ranging from $8 to $18, customers often comment that Sandstone Café is the “only traditional style breakfast in Grovedale”.
The café also caters for functions including birthdays, anniversaries and wakes.
The next $35 high tea begins 3.30pm on 12 July.
