Journey Management can teach a range of skills.

Started by Shane and Debra Blakeborough in Geelong in 2003, Journey has expanded to eight skills training centres across Victoria employing 120 full-time staff members providing nationally accredited training.
“Journey Management trains approximately 500 students from a wide variety of backgrounds weekly in its skills training centres,” according to general manager John Harding.
“Whether you have been retrenched, want to upskill, are unemployed or need a particular licence or ticket for your current employer, Journey Management has the equipment and expertise to assist you achieve your needs.”
Journey Management specialises in training in the civil construction industry (plant operations), driver operations (heavy vehicles), warehousing operations, dangerous goods and much more with all training conducted by qualified, experienced industry professionals.
“Anyone aged from 15 years and nine months and over can enrol into our courses. There are statutory restrictions on age for heavy vehicle and high risk work licensing, however all other courses are open,” Mr Harding says.
Courses normally begin on a weekly basis although heavy vehicle courses run daily and forklift courses every two and a half days.
Customers can elect to pay for their training or – subject to eligibility criteria – apply for Victorian or federal government funding to assist with course fees.
“All of our centres are open till 5pm weekdays to enable customers to enrol,” Mr Harding says.
“Vocational education is an excellent option for those seeking a new career or to strengthen and grow their current positions.”
