Buckets and bouquets

BOUQUETS to the Chans, who recently retired and closed Sun-Bo Chinese Restaurant in Gheringhap St, Geelong. Have been in Geelong for decades, I considered it a local institution. Sun-Bo will be sadly missed. Thank you, Mr and Mrs Chan, from all our loyal customers. Enjoy your retirement.
Thanks For The Memories, Grovedale

BUCKETS to a sport club for failing to invited a two-time Paralympics medal winner to an interstate exhibition game. The team comprised two people with disabilities from Geelong, two from Melbourne and two able-bodies.
Doesn’t Make Sense, Leopold

BUCKETS to Going Going Gone and Already Gone (Buckets & Bouquets, 3 and 10 April). In my experience, the failure to sell a property often has more to do with the vendor’s unrealistic expectations than the agent’s ability or endeavour. Do your homework and listen to your agent.
Former Agent, Geelong West

BOUQUETS to the wonderful staff at Ballarat Base Hospital, where I had a knee replacement in January. The staff, doctors and everyone else who helped were magnificent.
Ray, Corio

BUCKETS to Fix Whingers (Buckets & Bouquets, 17 April). Your ignorance is excused because you obviously don’t know how our council stuffed the city. Just as suburban residents who pay rates. Last time I checked the boundaries your East Geelong was in Geelong but the suburbs are being ignored.
Vince, Highton

BOUQUETS to the kind people, especially a tradie, who helped me retrieve my credit card in a carp park at Woolworths Geelong West.
Arch, Western Beach

BOUQUETS to the team at South Barwon Computers for swift resolution of a recent keyboard issue. Good advice at the right price equals a sastisfied customer.
Keyed In, Geelong West

BOUQUETS to a lovely lady in a white Holden for paying for my coffee at Bean Squeeze Manifold Heights on 20 April. When I pulled up to pay I was told she had already paid for me. I will pay it forward on my next visit.
Lady In Blue Focus, Corio

BOUQUETS to the couple who helped an old lady get her car open and started in the dark after the football on Sunday.
Go Cats, Torquay
