Balaclava bandits rob Lara bakery

UPDATE:

POLICE continue to investigate an armed robbery which occurred at a bakery in Lara Monday early Monday.

Detectives have scoured CCTV footage and now believe that two people were involved. 

Investigators have released images of two people that they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

GEELONG detectives are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a Lara bakery this morning. 

Crime Investigation Unit police have been told a balaclava-clad man forced his way into The Centreway store by smashing the front glass door with a small jemmy bar just after 1am. 

The man confronted two female bakers in the store and made demands for money while threatening them with a knife. 

He made off with an amount of money and was last seen leaving the scene on foot. 

No-one was injured. 

The offender was described as caucasian, about 170 centimetres tall and wearing a black-hooded windcheater with white motif and black tracksuit pants.
