Geelong clinic offers free screening for awareness week

Bellarine Hearing is supporting Hearing Awareness Week by offering free hearing screens during Hearing Awareness week.
The week, which runs from February 25, aims to raise community awareness of hearing impairment and improve the overall quality of life for people living with hearing loss.
Some of the early warning signs are being able to hear but not understand, finding it hard to follow conversations in crowded or noisy environments, needing to turn the TV or radio up, or not always being able to hear the doorbell or the phone.
“Improvements in technology have minimised the barriers to communication for people with a hearing loss,” Bellarine senior Audiologist Rod Glover said.
“It’s reassuring to know that a properly fitted hearing instrument can improve communication for at least 90 per cent of people with a hearing impairment.”
Bellarine Hearing is a locally-owned family business based in Geelong.
To book a free hearing screen during Hearing Awareness Week, call Bellarine Hearing on 5229 6407.
