Students of opportunity

Queenscliff Primary School is dedicated to providing students with purposeful and individual learning, a rigorous and varied curriculum and viable extra-curricular opportunities.
We are a small rural school, currently experiencing steady enrolment growth for the 2017 school year.
Students at Queenscliff Primary School work within small, Early Years and Middle Years classes with a teacher to student ratio of approximately 1:12. This structure enables us to target our teaching to students’ point of needs, monitor students’ academic achievements closely through termly individual learning plans and regular parent/student/teacher communication and; closely use our assessment to drive the planning of all our educational programs.
As a school, we are committed to providing a holistic approach to education. While students participate in daily focused English and Mathematics lessons, they also undertake weekly Visual Art, Performing Art, Physical Education, ICT, Science and Japanese specialist subjects. Our unique setting, overlooking Swan Bay, enables us to learn within our community in a hands on way. We are committed to providing real life learning opportunities, particularly within our fortnightly kitchen garden program as well as across all inquiry learning units.
At the core of everything we do at Queenscliff Primary School is our vision of ‘Learning for the Future’. Our school values of Collaboration, Creativity, Curiosity, Communication and Compassion, drive all teaching, learning and programs undertaken at the school.
Our school is an outstanding place to learn. We are a family of learners who always strive to make a difference.
We are currently conducting prep transitions sessions for all enrolled and potential 2017 preps, as well as accepting enrolments across all year levels for 2017. To find out more about our school, please visit our website at www.queenscliffps.vic.edu.au or like us on Facebook.
