Police search Geelong for missing teen

A 17-year-old girl who went missing last Thursday could be in Geelong, according to police.

Police are searching for Castlemaine teen Claudia Walters who disappeared on 14 June.

She was due to board a train at Castlemaine to attend a TAFE course in Bendigo about 7.40am but did not arrive.

Police have serious concerns for her welfare due to her age and she has a medical condition for which she requires medication.

She is of Caucasian appearance, with a thin build and shoulder-length blonde-brown hair.

She was last seen wearing black leggings, a pink fluffy woollen jacket with a zip hood, white runners and a black backpack with multi-colours.

Police believe Claudia may be in the Geelong area and on Saturday released an image of her as they appealed for public assistance.

They urged anyone who sights Claudia or has information on her current whereabouts to contact Bendigo Police Station on 5448 1300.
