Fiancee of hit-run victim ‘names’ alleged culprits

The fiance of Norlane hit-run victim Jason Lynch yesterday identified the culprits to police, she told the Independent.
But Milli Boyd refused to reveal how she knew their identities after telling a media conference on Wednesday she had “no idea” why the alleged assailants had run down Mr Lynch.
Ms Boyd said she feared another attack.
“You’re always afraid they might come back,” she said.
Corio Police Senior Constable Shane Marsden described the incident as “reckless, callous and inconsiderate”.
Mr Lynch lay in Geelong Hospital yesterday unsure whether he would walk again.
Four men in a silver four-wheel-drive allegedly ran him down outside his house in Sparks Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Ms Boyd said the men drove away leaving her fiance lying with a broken back.
Ms Boyd said the men had earlier approached Mr Lynch’s son, Corey, at Windsor Reserve Skate Park asking whether he was in a Corio gang.
She said another youth then told her and Mr Lynch that the men were chasing Corey.
Mr Lynch had left the house to track down the men, Ms Boyd said.
He approached the vehicle before it reversed three house lengths then drove at Mr Lynch, she alleged.
“He was only going to protect his son,” she said.
“He just wanted to talk to them – he wasn’t going to be violent.”
Ms Boyd said she expected the information she gave police yesterday to produce charges “in a few days”.
