GEELONG Cats has released its new clash strip for 2011.
The new jumper streamlines the previous clash guernsey to reflect the Cats’ traditional hoops.
The design of three sets of white lines and a small Cat logo on the left breast replaces this year’s version of a predominantly large white Cats’ face on a blue strip. The guernsey is only worn when the Cats meet North Melbourne in away games to avoid confusion between the stripes and hoops.
The club has considered also wearing the playing jumper for NAB pre-season matches.
The AFL requires clubs to design alternative strips, while Geelong required a predominantly blue strip.
