Pip Walker inspects progress on the latest stage of works at Torquay's Star of the Sea.

THE FINAL stage of the exciting Villa Maria Catholic Homes development, Star of the Sea Retirement Village, is selling quickly with only a limited number of units left.
Stage five is the culmination of the $24 million 90-bed Star of the Sea community in Torquay.
Sales manager Pip Walker says it’s an exciting time, seeing the original vision finally come to fruition.
“Over recent months we’ve had an overwhelming response with sales where people are keen to join the active, vibrant community within the village,” she says.
Time is still available to secure one of the luxurious two or three-bedroom units, starting as low as $465,000 and due for completion around September.
Once construction of stage five is complete, work will commence on the aged care facility, co-located with the retirement village.
Star of the Sea Village will be able to expand its service offering to include a fully integrated ageing-in-place system supported by Home Care Packages.
An ageing-in-place system provides a wonderful opportunity for village residents to seamlessly transition from retirement living to aged care.
Independent living is combined with lifestyle activities and access to first-class facilities including an indoor heated pool, a gym, a movie theatre, outdoor bowls, billiards, a library and a hair salon.
Star of the Sea Village welcomes people from diverse cultures, nationalities and faiths.
Star of the Sea Village is open for inspection at 1 Headland Dve, Torquay.
