Chef’s food of love

Inspired by the love of his mother and grandmother, Le Thai Chef’s kitchen maestro Sun is pulling out all the stops for this Mother’s Day.
Having grown up in the kitchen of the family restaurants in Saraburi, Thailand, chef Sun learned his traditional Thai cooking secrets from his mum and grandmother.
He says his love for cooking is closely intertwined with his love for the women in his family.
This Mother’s Day, chef Sun has put on his best, drawing on his traditional Thai cooking expertise combined with his cordon bleu cuisine.
He sees it as a dedication not only to his mum, but to all the Geelong mums he has gotten to know over the past two years.
Sun says he loves it when he gets to meet mums when they come into Le Thai Chef.
His Mother’s Day menu includes his most popular traditional Thai and nouveau dishes, along with some special complimentary desserts for mum.
Sun says he has gone even further, putting together arrangements for a special surprise kitchen service for Mother’s Day.
Never being happy with just doing enough, Sun says he hopes to spoil, more than ever, every mum that comes to celebrate with Le Thai Chef this Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day specials are available for both Saturday and Sunday bookings and he advises to book early to avoid missing out.
Le Thai Chef is open seven days a week at 199 Thompson Road, North Geelong, phone 5278 9898.
