JANE EMERICK
DETECTIVES are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a seven-year-old girl at a Torquay caravan park early Monday.
Police said the attack occurred at 5.30am when the girl was sleeping in her family’s caravan annex with her two brothers aged 10 and 12.
Police said a man, believed to be aged between 16 and 22 years, crept into the annex and sexually assaulted the girl while her parents were asleep inside the caravan. The man fled when the girl began crying out for her mum.
Police are seeking witnesses who may have seen the man prior to the incident at Torquay Foreshore Caravan Park.
