The John Landy Athletics Field has re-opened to the community, with flood clean-up works now complete.
City of Greater Geelong Director of Community Life Robyn Stevens said staff had worked hard to return the venue to community use since its flooding six days ago.
“The track has been pressure washed and, thankfully, is in good condition,” Ms Stevens said.
“The sand has been fully replaced in the jump pits and power has been turned back on and tested – so everything is ready to go.
“This means the facility is available for use by Geelong Little Athletics as scheduled on Saturday.”
