A Lara man has been charged over the alleged ramming of three police cars last week.
Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested Jack Hall, 20, at Newcomb on Monday and charged him with 27 offences over the incident, according to Victoria Police.
The charges included aggravated reckless exposure of a police officer to risk by driving, theft of a motor vehicle and driving at a dangerous speed, a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
Last week, police called for public assistance to track down Mr Hall after alleging that he rammed three police cars on March 10 before speeding off.
Police obtained a warrant for his arrest in relation to the rammings and released images of him that evening.
About 11.45am on March 10, police spotted two stolen vehicles, a red Ford Mondeo and a Mazda CX5 on the Princes Highway in Corio.
As officers attempted to intercept the red Mondeo about 12.15pm in Leonis Court, Corio, it rammed a police vehicle, police alleged.
A female occupant of the car attempted to flee on foot and officers arrested her at the scene, police said.
Police alleged a man who was also an occupant of the car then stole a silver Ford Mondeo from an address near the collision.
Police attempted to intercept the silver Mondeo on Blair Court, Norlane, and again on Separation Street, North Geelong.
The silver Mondeo rammed police vehicles on both occasions, police alleged. No officers sustained injuries as a result of the collisions.
Police recovered the Mazda CX5 from Ulladulla Street, Norlane.
Mr Hall was scheduled to face Geelong Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
