Simply Helping – Home Care Package provider

The subject of Home Care Packages has been covered extensively in the media, detailing both the successes and disappointments experienced by people as they navigate the system.

Geelong Barwon Simply Helping counts itself on the success side of the ledger – a provider in the aged care community that wins hefty praise from clients.

Two families, clients of Simply Helping, are happy to put their hands up and explain – in their own words – for Geelong Indy readers why they believe praise is well-deserved and why they offer hearty endorsements.

MARTIN’S STORY

“I’ve been with Simply Helping for over two years now and since starting with them, the staff have always been friendly and helpful to me.

A few months ago, I had to move from Victoria to New South Wales and they asked if I wanted to change providers or have them still look after me. I had no hesitation about staying with them and they have been more than helpful organising my carers to help me up here. I can’t thank them enough, they’ve been so good.”

KEN AND SUE’S STORY

“After poor service from a previous provider, my dad and I had the absolute good fortune to select Simply Helping as Dad’s provider.

We could not have expected such polar service from one provider to the next. However, the Simply Helping staff are caring and diligent in their craft. Nothing is difficult for this company, they are understanding of their clients’ needs and are only too willing to get things done with a minimum of fuss.

We are kept up to date with any changes or issues and appreciate their very impressive attention to detail.

We are indeed content as part of the Simply Helping family.”

NOELENE’S STORY

“I have found Simply Helping to be simply wonderful. Initially they sat with us to obtain a thorough insight into my needs. Lorrae and Cindy [case managers] have always listened, been sympathetic and offered many helpful suggestions.

Simply Helping’s fees are very reasonable. They’re based on our income and we are reimbursed for any personal purchases pertaining to my disabilities. All I need to do is “my homework” and talk it over with Lorrae.

They provide any improvements and maintenance deemed necessary for safety around our home. They always follow up with any requests – then inquire if we were satisfied with the work done.

My husband, who is my carer, suffers with acute arthritis and Meniere’s disease. However, at this stage we are still able to live in our own home, due to Simply Helping and their superb assistance.

As my needs increase so too does their support. I only wish that I had known about Simply Helping sooner.”
