Former Cat Wylie Buzza has found a new home at Port Adelaide after accepting a one-year offer to join the Power.
The Cats delisted the 23-year-old last month, following nine senior games in four seasons with the club since he was taken as pick 69 in the 2015 national draft.
The 199-centimetre forward booted 32 goals in 17 VFL games in 2019, but was unable to break into the Cats senior side.
Buzza said he was “confident” he could be a strong contributor at AFL level.
“I really enjoyed my time at Geelong even though I didn’t get the results and outcomes that I was hoping for, but I’m super excited to get another opportunity,” he said.
“I see myself as an AFL-standard footballer and I think I can contribute to overall team success rather than just being a number on the list.”
