Geelong has landed another big name to the Cattery, securing Adelaide forward Josh Jenkins in a last-minute finish to the AFL Trade Period last night.
The Cats sent their pick 37 in the 2019 AFL National Draft to the Crows in exchange for the 30-year-old and a 2020 third round selection under the deal.
Geelong’s recruiting manager Stephen Wells said Jenkins would add “depth and experience” to the Cats.
“He has been a very good player for the Crows and he is looking forward to making a strong contribution for the Cats in the coming years,” he said.
Jenkins played 147 games and kicked 296 goals across eight seasons with Adelaide.
