Outcomes for genU

Category: Medium to Large Business

Winner: genU

As a not-for-profit community services organisation, genU Is committed to achieving outcomes for people with a disability.

Working with clients who are aged or experiencing disadvantage, genU now has nearly 3000 staff working with 40,000 customers each year at 200 sites across Australia.

Whether it’s gaining employment, developing new skills, finding a place to call home, getting involved in the community or making new friends, genU has it covered.

“The name of the organisation is short for Generation You, because whatever generation you belong to, young, old, or somewhere in between, what unites us is the belief that challenges must be met boldly, and adventures are always in the making,“ says genU.

“Six years in the making, genU brings together two trusted and respected organisations: Karingal and St Laurence.

“Our vision, mission and values (VMV) drive everything we do. It’s just how it works, and everyone at genU knows that because we live by it.

“Going the extra mile, advocating for diversity and inclusion, pushing the boundaries, getting everyone involved and celebrating the achievements of our clients gives us the confidence that together’ we’re making a real difference.“
