Prestige Jayco Geelong is number one – and that’s official!
The company has just been named as the number one motor home dealer in Australia and New Zealand for 2017.
Prestige Jayco has been part of the fabric of the Geelong community for almost 30 years since the Spence family started its caravan repair business in the late 1980s. John and Joan Spence built their business from the ground up, expanding their centre to include sales and joined with the Jayco brand in 1990.
The business has since grown to become a one-stop caravan dealership.
Jayco sell the full range of camper trailers, caravans, expandas, pop tops, motor homes and leisure homes, as well as used RVs and a complete range of accessories and after sales care.
The company has been making recreational vehicles in Australia since 1975 and all RVs are built here in Victoria at the purpose-built, Dandenong complex.
General manager Tony Spence says it is the family atmosphere of the company which is its secret to success.
“We value our people, and it’s their attitude and feeling a part of the family that makes the difference,” Tony says.

“The company works in conjunction with Tourism Geelong and the Bellarine Big4 Caravan Park to promote tourism to the region and is involved in local events such as Give Where you Live Foundation; Surf Coast Trek and the Auction at the Mill promotion.
“We actively promote and support local community involvement, health and wellness, support young men and women in sport and encourage active adults,” Tony says.
“We also got on board with Geelong Connected Communities this year too.”
