Anisha James’ love affair with helping people hear began well before starting work at Geelong Hearing Aid Services this Valentine’s Day.
“It’s really good here and the staff and clients are really nice,” she says.
Anish completed her clinical training in India before moving to Australia with her husband and daughter.
She had been commuting to Sydney from her outer Melbourne home every week before landing the Geelong job.
“I had to fly every Monday and Friday because that was my first job,” she says.
The company’s director Joanne Jackson says the move was great for her new employee.
“This is the first time she’s been home every night that her little girl would remember,” she says.
And Joanne couldn’t be happier with Anisha so far.
“She is just an awesome addition to the team. She and Pauline – who’s been working in Geelong for three years – get on like a house on fire,”
“She’s enthusiastic, gentle and very knowledgeable.”
Geelong Hearing Aid Services has operated in Geelong since 2002 and have clinics in Belmont and Leopold.
The company is independent and stocks a variety of manufacturers, Joanne says.
“We’ll offer what’s best for the client not just what the manufacturer wants.”
This family-owned business tailors its service for each customer’s need.
“We don’t treat anybody like they’re just a number,” Joanne says. “We’re busy but we don’t rush people – we get to know each client.”
Geelong Hearing Aid Services is part of the Qualtone Group. It also stocks swimming plugs, MP3 fittings and noise reduction products.
