Use your noodle

New restaurant Vong Noodle Bar is a fusion of Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine.
Its convenient position at the heart of Geelong’s CBD makes it the perfect lunch break meeting spot for workers in the city and its proximity to the cinemas allows it to double as a great lunch or dinner stop after seeing a movie.
The range of cuisine provides for a wide variety of menu options.
Favourites include Vietnamese noodles, Thai red or green curries with rice and a choice of chicken or beef, and Chinese-style garlic prawns or garlic chicken with a side of rice and mixed vegetables.
Chef and business manager Jhon Ung has worked in the industry for 20 years, with experience in Asian cuisine in both Melbourne and Geelong.
“We opened just two months ago. So far the feedback from customers has been very good. People are enjoying the food and keep coming back,” Jhon says.
“Our bubble tea has been quite popular. It comes in lots of different flavours like mango and green apple.”
Being a reasonably new restaurant, Jhon is currently looking for more waiters to help support his team of restaurant staff.
The noodle bar opens between 11am and 3pm and again for dinner from 5pm until 10pm at 168 Ryrie Street, Geelong. For take-away or booking calls, phone 5224 2080.
