Skunkhour to play QMF

Australian funk/rap band Skunkhour will re-emerge from the 1990s to play Queenscliff Music Festival (QMF), organisers have announced.
A promoter for the event said the band would play its “internationally lauded” debut album from 1992 “song by song”.
“Known for their energetic sets as well as the depth and diversity of their music, the band reforms for QMF to bring a classic back to life,” the promoter said.
Skunkhour attracted a following around Australia in the ‘90s with songs like Home and Up to Our Necks In It.
The band formed in 1991, disbanded 10 years later and reunited in 2009 for an Australian tour but has been quite since.
Skunkhour was among a collection of bands recently named in the festival’s “fourth line-up announcement”.
The other acts included The Little Stevies, Luluc, Stella Angelico, Skyscraper Stan and the Commission Flats, The Davidson Brothers and Archer.
The festival has previously announced acts including The Church, Dan Sultan, The Delta Riggs, The Waifs, Xavier Rudd and Hiatus Kaiyote.
The festival will occupy Queenscliff foreshore parkland from 28 to 30 November.
The event has been staged annually for 17 years, initially with a blues and roots focus but diversifying in recent years to include a greater emphasis on rock and other genres.
The festival said its subscriber and early-bird tickets had sold out, with general release admission now on sale.
