NO shortage of April Fool’s gags across town this week, ranging from fame to lame.
Swivelling Kardinia Park’s lights didn’t fool too many but Miley Cyrus’ upcoming video clip with Mayor Darryn Lyons had some scratching their heads.
“Bad timing but it’s legit,” he insisted on Twitter.
Line honours went to a Geelong bloke whose sister rang angry he didn’t tell her his pregnant daughter had just given birth.
He phoned his daughter, who nearly went into labour laughing.
“Last I looked it was still inside my tummy!” she told him.

STRANGER things might have been found around Ford’s North Geelong factory, like resident foxes, but the latest arrival was one out of the box.
It was a black, hairless, mummified kangaroo in the basement, which, according to insiders, found its way in but not out.
A sad way to go but, regrettably, hardly the only casualty at Ford just now.

WITNESS amazing feats of endurance, says Geelong expat and muso Ben Henzgen from California.
For 20 days this month he’s performing 420 burpees daily at 4.20pm – a testament to his advanced fitness and a pitch for sponsors to back him as an endurance athlete.
Anyone who knows Ben, however, won’t be surprised to learn he’s performing them at an Irish pub in Santa Maria.

QUITE a series of skid marks is collecting around Western Beach Rd’s pedestrian crossing near Ginn St.
Joggers have clearly forgotten the road-safety ditty: stop at the kerb, look both ways and walk across the road – don’t run!
Even at 50km/h stopping a vehicle in time is difficult when someone jogs across without warning.
With all the near misses, a few joggers are probably producing skid marks as well.
