Cats board returned unopposed

Geelong Football Club directors will be returned unopposed for a further three-year term, the Cats have announced.
The club said the seven directors were the only nominations for the board.
All the board positions are vacated every three years with a call for nominations.
The club’s constitution says a ballot is unnecessary when the number of nominees matches the number of vacancies.
The directors are president Colin Carter, Justin Andrews, Craig Drummond, Bob Gartland, Alistair Hamblin, Hugh Seward and Diana Taylor.
Long-serving member Gareth Andrews has retired after serving as vice president since the end of 1998.
“We greatly appreciate the support of our members,” Carter said.
“We will be doing our best to continue to build a club that generates pride in all of our supporters and members.
“Obviously we are all proud of our on field efforts, but we are also building a club that is set up for the long term. Thus we have made decisions regarding the redevelopment of Simonds Stadium and our role in the community to ensure we give back to our supporters, members and communities.”
