Artists can show off their brush strokes, prints and works across a range of mediums during this year’s Surf Coast Arts Trail.
Registrations are open until 30 March for artists, makers and venue organisers to participate in the trail to showcase their creative process.
Surf Coast Shire councillor Mike Bodsworth said last year’s trail featured more than 200 artists across 56 venues throughout the region.
“More than 15,000 people admired works, shared artists’ inspiration and generated more than $210,000 in sales,” he said.
“Our much-loved Trail is turning 15 in 2026, and we are sure it will be a fittingly vibrant celebration of the creativity and talent across our shire.
“We encourage first-time or long-time participating artists to get their registrations in and be part of one of the region’s most-celebrated arts events.”
Council’s Arts Team will host an online information session for artists interested in being part of the trail on 10 March from 1pm to 2pm, with the trail returning across the region on 1 and 2 August.
“We want to help ensure that your Trail experience is as rewarding and enjoyable as possible,” Cr Bodsworth said.
“We’re here to support artists at every stage throughout the Trail, so please be sure to make the most of the online session, and if you have any further queries, don’t hesitate to contact our Council Arts Team.”
This year’s trail will offer new opportunities for community members and businesses to be involved with the establishment of the volunteer program to provide support for artists and venues.
A new Saturday Night Gig Guide will also provide information about performance art activities accompanying the trail for visitors and community members, like theatre or music events.
Council will also host drop-in sessions for people to have a friendly chat with the Surf Coast Arts Team about grants, project ideas or the arts trail.
