VICROADS is compiling a list of “rogue” truckies to address complaints about noise from Geelong’s bypass, according to an MP.

Member for South Barwon Michael Crutchfield told the Independent proposed technology trials could identify drivers making excessive noise.

Federal police are investigating a Facebook hate page linked to Geelong and calling for the assassination of prime minister elect Tony Abbott.

Geelong Police have also been alerted to claims of death threats against local Socialist Alliance members over suggestions the party was responsible for the page.

Fears of flammable cladding in Simonds Stadium’s eastern stand have led the ground’s trust to launch an investigation this week.

The Indy recently received a tip off from an industry source that the stand contained flammable cladding, which could put crowds at risk in the 6000-capacity stand.
