Leading the way in solar and battery solutions

Winki Energy is a trusted name in solar and battery solutions, delivering high-quality installations across a wide spectrum – from small residential systems to large-scale commercial and utility projects.

With offices in Torquay and Melbourne, Winki Energy blends regional

values with the expertise and capability to manage projects of any scale.

Founded in Torquay by Steve Cox, a licensed electrician and CEC-accredited solar and battery specialist with more than 17 years of industry experience, Winki Energy has grown to become one of Victoria’s premier solar installation companies.

From its humble beginnings servicing homes in the Surf Coast region, the company now operates across all of Victoria. In 2024 alone, Winki Energy installed over 8MW of solar capacity – the equivalent of approximately 20,000 panels.

The team comprises 32 professionals, including 13 CEC-accredited electricians, 10 apprentices, and a dedicated operations, sales, and support division. All installations are completed in-house, ensuring consistent quality and eliminating the need for third-party subcontractors.

While the business has grown significantly, Winki Energy remains firmly rooted in its founding values: integrity, safety, quality, and exceptional customer service. With full-time teams based in Torquay, Geelong, and Melbourne, the company is committed to long-term support – not just as a service provider, but as career electricians who stand behind their work and honour their warranties for years to come.

Why partner with Winki Energy?

Comprehensive warranties: 10-year workmanship warranty, 10-year inverter warranty, and 25-year product and performance warranties on solar panels.

Accredited professionals: All systems are installed by licensed electricians and CEC-accredited solar installers.

Expertly designed systems: Every solar and battery solution is designed by qualified professionals to ensure optimal performance and value.

Transparent, accurate quotes: Performance estimates are based on reliable data and conservative cost assumptions – no hidden surprises.

Winki Energy is proud to be part of Victoria’s renewable energy future. Whether you’re a homeowner, business, or developer, they’re here to help you make the transition to clean, reliable, and affordable energy – backed by a team you can trust.
